25% GST Imposed – Estimated Prices of All CBU Cars
If there were any illusions, they should have been dispelled by now that the incumbent government would beget some relief for the country’s auto industry. Interestingly, the price hike saga following the record-breaking inflation and economic meltdown was not the only weapon to hurt the local car industry and shatter the purchasing power of customers, 25% GST imposed on CBU, and locally assembled cars is an additional one.
The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) issued a new sales tax notification under SRO 297(1)/2023, taking the net slab of General Sales Tax (GST) to 25% on luxury items, including CBU (imported), locally assembled 1400cc and above cars, locally manufactured or assembled SUVs and CUVs, and locally manufactured/assembled double cabin (4×4) pickup vehicles.

Here are the estimated prices of CBU cars after GST increased from 18% to whopping 25%.
Toyota Cars
Corolla Cross
- Corolla Cross 1.8 (Low) would be of Rs. 12,975,636 against the old price of Rs. 12,249,000.
- The new price of Corolla Cross Smart 1.8L (Mid) could be Rs. 13,876,059 whilst the old rate was Rs. 13,099,000.
- Corolla Cross Premium 1.8L (High) could be Rs. 14, 215,042 compared to the old price of Rs. 13,419,000.
Toyota Rush
- Rush GMT 1.5L would be Rs. 8,484,110 against the old price of Rs. 8,009,000.
- The new price of Rush GAT 1.5L could be Rs. 8,823,093 whilst the old rate was Rs. 8,329,000.
Camry Hybrid
- Camry hybrid 2.5L High could be increased to Rs. 50,380,297 compared to the old price of Rs. 47,559,000.
Toyota Prado
- Prado 2.8L MT would now cost Rs. 55,210, 805 against the old price of Rs. 52,119,000.
- The new price of Prado 2.8L AT could be Rs. 62,680,297 whilst the old rate was Rs. 59,359,000.
- Prado 4.0 price would be increased from Rs. 84,429,000 to Rs. 89,437,500.
Toyota Prius
- The new price of Prius 1.8L could be Rs. 15,518,008 whilst the old rate was Rs. 14,649,000.
Toyota Land Cruiser
- Land Cruiser ZX LC300 would be Rs. 146,524,364 against the old price of Rs. 138,319,000.
Honda Cars
- Accord 1.5L Turbo would be Rs. 16,418,432 against the old price of Rs. 52,119,000.
- The new price of CR-V 2.0 CVT could be Rs. 11,334,746 whilst the old rate was Rs. 10,700,000.
Kia Cars
- Grand Carnival Executive price could increased from Rs. 15,650,000 to Rs. 16,578,390.
