As all of you know that PSL is going on with its full colors and after Karachi, the matches are coming to Lahore. And keeping this in view, Lahore City Traffic Police have issued a traffic plan for PSL and people of Lahore. In this advisory, the police have shared which roads will be open, which one will remain close and what are the parking arrangements.
So, here is the detailed plan for people of Lahore.
Open Roads
- Canal Road (both sides)
- Traffic can move till Firdous Market, Hussain Chowk, Siddique Trade Centre, MM Alam Road and Mini Market.
- Traffic can move in Firdous Market, Barket Market, Kalma Chowk, Centre Point.
- Fawara No. 1, Siddique Trade Centre, Jail Road till Qartaba Chowk will remain open for all traffic.
- Ferozepur through Wahdat Road will remain open for traffic.
Diversion Points
- Mall Road (Awari Chowk, Anarkali, Cantt Gate Palace, Sundardas, Chok Sultan Pulli, Dharamupura including underpass, Zafar Ali Mall.
- Jail Road (Shami Chowk, Under Pass Sherpao Bridge, Eden U-turn, Qartaba Chowk, Shadman Market, Lawrence Road Examination Centre, Chamba House).
- Canal Road (Dharampura Bridge uncluding underpass, Sultan Bridge, Gulzar Bridge including underpass, Campus Canal Bridge, FC Bridge, Zahoor Elahi Road, Shah Jamal).
- Ferozepur Road (Ichra Canal Bridge, Baba Qulfi, Muslim Town Mor, Silk Bank Ferozepur Road).
- Main Boulevard Gulberg (Mini Market, Mobilink Chowk, Main Market, Maria B, Gulberg Centre, Hijaz Hospital Chowk, Hussain Chowk, Flower Market, Centre Point, Barkat R/O, Main Market R/O, Hali Chowk, Chen One Chowk).
Roads Temporary Closed
During teams’ movement following roads will remain closed temporarily:
- Mall Road (Awari Hotel-Canal Bridge) for 6-9 minutes.
- Ferozeupir Road (Kalma Chowk-Muslim Town Mor) for 6-9 minutes.
- Jail Road (Shami Road-Eden Centre) for 9-13 minutes.
- Main Boulevard (Siddique Trade Centre-Barkat Market) 9-13 minutes.
Closed Roads
During match following roads will remain totally closed:
- Kalma Chowk to Ichra Bridge.
- Davis Road to Cantt Gate Palace.
Parking Arrangements
And this is the parking arrangements for traffic from different parts of the city
- People coming from Thokar Niaz Baig, Icchra, Wahdat Road will park in Punjab University.
- Traffic coming from Wapda Town, Johar Town, Garden Town will reach Punjab University Parking via Faisal Town and Barkat Market.
- Meanwhile, cars coming from Kahna, Kot Lakhpat and Ferozepur will park in Liberty Market via Qenchi, Walton Road, Jinnah Flyover, Firdous Market and Hussain Chowk
- Traffic of Gulberg and Cantt will park in LDA Parking Plaza opposite Sunfort Hotel, Liberty.
- Citizens coming from Walton and Defence will park their in Jam-e-Shireen Park via Cavalry, Jinnah Flyover and Firdous Market.
