Today we’re back with the owner’s review of the all-new 3rd generation Ford Raptor. The Raptor debuted in 2010 and quickly gained significant popularity in the pickup truck market. This is its 3rd iteration which comes with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 engine continued from the previous generation. It produces 450 horsepower and 860 nm of torque. This is mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels. Purchase Decision
The owner is a big fan of pickup trucks and has kept all types of them, including the new Tundra, Revo, Raptor, etc. according to him; this was an instinctive purchase when he visited his friend in Bahawalpur who had this 3rd gen Raptor. Upon looking at it, he really liked it and decided to buy it from him.
Salient Features
Ford has modernized the Raptor to a great extent in terms of features. Some of these include a fully digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch infotainment screen through which almost every feature can be accessed. The new Raptor also features a panoramic roof, heated and ventilated electrically adjustable seats, multi-zone climate control, wireless charging, etc. driver assistance features are obviously present, including lane assist, blind spot monitor, auto-braking, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, etc.
On the exterior, the design language roots from the Raptor’s heritage look but is upgraded with sleek LEDs, muscular fender arches, and bulky all-terrain tires.
Fuel Average
As the owner, he has not observed the exact fuel average, but according to the instrument cluster, the car is giving around 4.5 km/l within the city. This average may vary depending on the road conditions and driving style.
Comfort
Being a full-size pickup truck, the Raptor has plenty of room to stretch out knees. The rear room is very comfortable, and even the middle passenger has a lot of space. Seat cushioning has also improved, and the Raptor is a lot more civilized than the previous generations. Suspension-wise, it does not have airmatic suspension but feels a lot softer on the road compared to previous models.
Maintenance And Spare Parts
According to the owner, he maintains the car from a local workshop, and it is completely hassle-free. Periodic maintenance, which includes oil and filters, is not complicated at all, and every part is readily available in Dubai and can be sourced within a few days. The owner has already imported maintenance parts in advance so that oil replacement is not delayed.
