Pakistan’s auto industry showed strong signs of recovery in September 2025, as sales rose 67% year-on-year (YoY) and 22% month-on-month (MoM), reaching a total of 17,174 units, as per the PAMA report for September 2025.

Below is the performance summary of all major car manufacturers for September 2025. For detailed figures and breakdowns, please refer to the latest September 2025 PAMA report.

Toyota

Indus Motor Company (Toyota) sold 3,152 units in September, a 33% YoY increase but a 7% decline compared to August.

Combined sales of Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla Cross reached 2,655 units, up 41% YoY. However, Toyota’s market share slipped by nearly six percentage points month-on-month, as competitors gained ground in key segments.

Honda Atlas

Honda Atlas Cars posted an impressive rebound, selling 2,307 units, a massive 82% YoY and 115% MoM growth, the highest among major automakers.

The City Aspire S boosted sedan sales, while the HR-V Hybrid (HEV) surged 162% YoY, driving momentum in the SUV segment.

This performance helped Honda gain roughly five percentage points in market share versus August.

Haval

Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SAZEW), known for its Haval SUV lineup, maintained its growth streak with 3,293 units sold, up 10% YoY and 6% MoM.

The Haval H6 PHEV led the charge, recording a 73% YoY increase in sales and solidifying Sazgar’s position as Pakistan’s early New Energy Vehicle (NEV) pioneer.

Policy Changes Could Impact Momentum

Despite strong September figures, analysts warn of potential headwinds.
The government’s review of tariff rationalization and possible used car import relaxations (up to five years old) could pressure new car demand, particularly in the entry-level market.

Experts suggest cautious optimism, noting that while short-term demand remains solid, long-term growth depends on pricing stability, policy clarity, and interest rate trends.
