BAIC X25 Spotted, Is Sazgar Launching It?
Another vehicle by Sazgar Engineering, BAIC X25, has been spotted on Pakistani roads, leading to rumors that the car is coming to Pakistan. Before telling you about its possible launch, let us tell you that Sazgar displayed this subcompact crossover at PAPS Auto Show in 2020.
Interestingly, the number plate of this unit is visible and if you put it in the excise website, it shows the following information.
The record shows that Sazgar – BAIC makes it, and its price is Rs. 2,935,000, and registered rather recently on May 11, 2022. The details hint that the company could be planning to introduce the car in the near future.
Statement by Sazgar Engineering
To confirm the news, we contacted Sazgar Engineering and the owner of the company rejected the reports. “These are our CKD testing units, and because of the high price, we are not planning to launch this car,” he told us.
He gave additional information that the company also has no plan to launch BAIC D20. So, for now, Sazgar will continue to offer BAIC BJ40 Plus.
We do hope that Sazgar will launch this car in the future because it will surely increase the competition in the local market. If the car comes at the price mentioned above, it will be a direct competitor to Suzuki Swift, Toyota Yaris, and Honda City. And segment-wise, it will compete with Chery Tiggo 4, MG ZS, and Kia Stonic.
