Why India Is Getting a PHEV, Not Another EV?

Just like Pakistan, India also has an EV infrastructure issue, and now more brands are focusing on PHEVs in India, as they are in Pakistan.

Also, India’s larger land size and longer city-to-city travel distances make full EV adoption more challenging than in Pakistan.

Many regions in India still have little to no access to commercial EV charging. That is another reason why plug-in hybrids currently make more sense for India than relying entirely on pure EVs.

For Pakistan, the Seal U is worth watching because the same logic applies here. The country’s charging infrastructure is still limited, commercial charging is expensive, and many buyers are not yet fully comfortable with EV ownership.
