The announcement comes just days after PakWheels exclusively reported that the EV giant was preparing to expand its local lineup with these specific models.
That report has now been validated by BYD itself, which recently dropped official teaser images on its social media platforms, sending waves of excitement through the local EV community.
The teasers featured the rear silhouettes of the vehicles, highlighting their distinctive light designs that unmistakably belong to the Sealion 7 and Atto 2, signaling that the launch is just around the corner.
Meet the New Contenders
BYD Sealion 7
The Sealion 7 is a midsize electric SUV rivaling the Tesla Model Y.
Built on BYD’s advanced e-Platform 3.0, it offers battery options up to 91.3 kWh, delivering up to 523 hp in AWD variants and a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.5 seconds.
Expect ultra-fast DC charging (10-80% in ~24 minutes) for seamless long drives.

On the more accessible end of the spectrum is the Atto 2 (known in China as the Yuan Up). This subcompact SUV sits below the popular Atto 3, designed primarily for urban commuting.
