Changan Deliveries Face 15-Day Blackout Amid Rising Customer Frustration

Master Changan Motors officially announced a temporary, nationwide suspension of vehicle invoicing, dispatch, and delivery services for the first half of July 2026. The company cited a major upgrade to its internal ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software as the cause for the 15-day disruption.

While Changan promises this backend overhaul will streamline future operations, the timing couldn’t be tougher. The news lands right as buyers voice serious frustrations over delayed bookings and a stark lack of communication from dealership staff.

The Official Notice: Nationwide Invoicing Paused

According to recent industry updates, the temporary operational halt is affecting the company’s entire lineup, including the highly anticipated Deepal S05 electric SUV. For a full two weeks, vehicle invoicing and new bookings are effectively frozen, creating a bottleneck that will likely ripple through delivery timelines for the rest of the summer.

Changan has apologized to its customer base and advised buyers to coordinate directly with local dealerships to receive adjusted delivery schedules once the system comes back online.

Behind the Scenes: Messy Booking Experiences

While a system upgrade explains the immediate 15-day pause, recent viral feedback reveals that some tracking issues may run deeper. Just days before the official announcement, an Alsvin buyer took to the Voice of Customer PK forum to share a particularly messy booking experience (Booking No. 1024/70033374) that highlights what happens when communication breaks down entirely.

The customer claimed they were initially committed to a 60-day delivery timeline. After the deadline expired, they were allegedly told by senior management that no vehicle was even in production for their booking.

Making matters worse, the buyer reported being completely ghosted by their assigned dealership representative after raising questions.

“If a relatively new automotive brand like Changan aims to compete with Pakistan’s established Big 3 manufacturers, customer trust, after-sales support, and honest commitments cannot be treated as optional,” the frustrated buyer noted.

The Takeaway for Car Buyers

Upgrading internal systems to improve future dealership operations is common practice, but a total 15-day pause on invoicing and dispatches is bound to leave buyers anxious, especially those who have already crossed their committed delivery dates.

If you currently have a Changan Alsvin, Oshan X7, or Deepal on order, expect some delays this month. Your best bet is to stay in touch with your dealership’s sales manager for a firm status update once the ERP upgrade wraps up.
