Changan Pakistan Launching New Variant of M9 Sherpa
It seems that the automotive industry of Pakistan is shaking things up slowly. First it was Indus Motor Company (IMC) with the promotional price drop of Corolla Cross, then Honda Atlas announced a special 7 upgrades package for Honda City 1.2L CVT and now Changan Pakistan has announced a new variant of its loader vehicle, M9 Sherpa. Here are details of the latest introduction by Master Changan Motors.
New Variant of Changan M9 Sherpa
According to details, the car assembler will hold a soft launch of the new M9 Sherpa, which will be called “Sherpa Power 1.2L,” today. The name implies that the new entrant will have a 1200cc engine with 5-speed manual transmission, while it is important to mention that the current M9 has a 1000cc engine. The second change in the new variant is power steering, which is not offered in the current 1.0L M9 Sherpa.
Price
The company is launching the new vehicle with an introductory price of Rs. 2,254,000. Meanwhile, the current price of 1.0L M9 is Rs. 2,179,000. This means that customers can get a bigger engine and power steering at an additional Rs. 75,000.
Changan M9 Specs & Features
The commercial loader was launched in Pakistan in 2018, and here are its salient specs and features:
- The overall length of the vehicle is 4560mm, with a width of 1645 mm and a height of 1890 mm, along with a wheelbase of 2900 mm.
- It has a 3-point safety belt and steering lock as safety features.
- The M9’s tyre size is 175/70R, and the rim size is 14 inches. Meanwhile, the fuel tank capacity is 40 liters.
- The vehicle has Disc/Drum brakes at the front and rear, respectively, with a vacuum booster. Moreover, the front suspension is Macpherson independent, and the rear suspension is Leaf spring dependent.
- The cargo box length is 2750mm, while the width is 1520mm, and the height is 370mm.
- The main features of the M9 are a speaker, cupholder, driver and front passenger sunvisor, Radio/AUX/Clock, body-colored side-view mirrors, and optional fog lamps.
