Changan Reduced Alsvin, Karvaan Prices
After the other car companies, Changan Pakistan has also reduced car prices. The new prices are announced under new Auto Policy (2021-2026). And here are the new prices of Changan Alsvin and Changan Karvaan.
Alsvin New Prices:
The first car by Changan, Alsvin 1.3 M/T Comfort, saw a price reduction of Rs50,000 taking the rate down to Rs2,149,000 from the previous price of Rs2,199,000. The price of second one, Alsvin 1.5L DCT Comfort, has decreased by Rs50,000, meaning the new price is Rs2,399,000 as compared to old rate of Rs2,449,000.
Finally, it is turn of Alsvin 1.5L DCT Lumiere, which saw a decrease of Rs61,000 making the new price Rs2,589,000 from the old rate of Rs2,650,000.
Karvaan New Prices:
Then comes two variants of Changan’s MPV, Karvaan. The first one is Karvaan Base Model 1.0, which has seen a decline of Rs91,000, meaning the new price is Rs1,399,000 as compared to the old rate of Rs1,490,000. The name of second variant is Karvaan Plus, which has seen a decrease of Rs101,000, taking the price to Rs1,539,000 from previous rate of Rs1,640,000.
It is pertinent to mention that these are Ex-Factory car prices.
Last week, the federal government has finally announced Auto Policy. Addressing a press conference, Federal Minister for Industries and Production, Khusro Bakhtiar shared the details of new policy. As per the minister, important points of the new policy are:
Decrease in Car Prices:
- New Car Prices will be implemented in next 1-2 days
- Prices of cars upto 850cc will reduce between Rs104,458 – Rs142,388
- Prices of cars between 1001cc–1500cc will decrease between Rs112,118 – Rs186,375
- Rs169,958 will be decreased for the 1800 cc category, and Rs229,458 for 2000cc cars.
- Additional Customs Duty (ACD) is reduced from 7% to 2% on CKD units for cars above 1000cc. Meanwhile, the ACD for cars upto 1000cc will be 0%
Electric Vehicles:
- Import duty on CBU Electric Vehicles (EVs) will be reduced to 10% from 25% for one year
- 1% Customs Duty on import of EV parts
