However, PakWheels reviewed the teaser videos closely and independently identified the key details.

Q-Autos Bringing Kaiyi to Pakistan

After taking screenshots of the teaser video and adjusting the contrast and lighting, the PakWheels team identified the vehicle’s badge. The badge belongs to Kaiyi Auto, a Chinese passenger vehicle brand:

Kaiyi Auto is a relatively new brand. According to Wikipedia, it was founded in January 2014 and was originally a wholly owned subsidiary of Chery.

After an equity change in December 2017, Kaiyi came under a local state-backed ownership structure, while Chery retained a minority stake.

Kaiyi generally focuses on affordable passenger vehicles, including crossovers, sedans, and electric models.

Kaiyi X3 Pro Spotted in Teaser Video

The teaser also gave a partial view of the vehicle nameplate. It appeared to read either “X8 Pro” or “X3 Pro”.

Since there is no Kaiyi X8 Pro model listed internationally, PakWheels compared the teaser outline with available Kaiyi models and found that it matches the Kaiyi X3 Pro

Based on this investigation, Kaiyi X3 Pro is one of the models that Q-Autos will launch in Pakistan.

What Is the Kaiyi X3 Pro?

In international markets, the Kaiyi X3 Pro is offered with both petrol and electric powertrain options.

The petrol version uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine, while the EV version comes with a 53.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery.

Based on body dimensions and overall size, the Kaiyi X3 Pro falls in the subcompact crossover category. Its petrol version is dimensionally closer to the Kia Stonic, while the EV version can be viewed against similarly sized electric crossovers such as the BYD Atto 2.

Here are the international specs of both models:

Variant Key Details
Kaiyi X3 Pro Petrol 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine
Transmission Automatic, 9-speed
Power 156 hp
Torque 230 Nm
Fuel Tank 50 litres

Variant Key Details
Kaiyi X3 Pro EV Electric motor with LFP battery
Battery Capacity 53.6 kWh
Claimed Range Up to 401 km in ideal conditions
Power 164 hp
Torque 280 Nm
0–55 km/h 3.77 seconds
Fast Charging 20–80 percent in around 40 minutes

These are international-market figures. Pakistan-specific specifications, features, warranty, pricing, and variant details may differ.

Editor’s Update: After publication, Kaiyi confirmed to PakWheels that it plans to bring only the Kaiyi X3 Pro EV variant to Pakistan, not the petrol-powered X3 Pro. The company also confirmed that it will introduce the Kaiyi E-Qute 4 EV hatchback, which will be covered in a separate story.

Official Event Tomorrow in Lahore

Q-Autos has also announced a press conference tomorrow at The Nishat Hotel, Lahore.

At this stage, it is not clear whether the company will launch the cars, reveal the brand, or only display the upcoming models.

Pricing, booking details, delivery timelines, dealership plans, and after-sales support will be key details to watch.
