We’re back with the owner’s review of Faisal’s Honda Civic X. In this video; we get a chance to talk about his experience of owning this car. He also shares the interesting buying procedure that led him to buy Civic X. The 10th generation of Civic was launched back in 2016 in 3 variants; this particular car is a 2021 1.8 oriel. It comes with a 4-cylinder 1.8-liter engine that produces 138hp and 174Nm of torque; it is paired with a 7-speed CVT transmission that delivers power to the front wheels.

Purchase Decision

Faysal, a renowned YouTuber, sold his previous car to a friend and was searching for a replacement. He had a budget of around Rs. 5 million in, which he considered many cars. Initially, he chose the Kia Sportage and almost bought it until he found out that it was accidental. He turned down that deal and instead got this Civic as it was only driven 2000 kilometers and was in a new condition, for which he paid Rs. 4.7 million. Although he didn’t plan to buy the Civic, it seemed a safer option.

Salient Features

The Civic has many features, including LED headlights, multimedia steering, cruise control, electronic parking brake, auto hold, push start, smart entry, digital climate control, rear AC vents, etc. However, compared to Sportage, the owner misses some features like electric seats.

Fuel Average

The Civic is not traditionally known for its fuel efficiency, but according to the owner, this car gave him a fuel average of 16 to 17 km/l on the highway, which is very impressive. Within the city, it provides around 8 to 9 km/l on everyday driving.

Maintenance

Average maintenance includes oil change which the owner changed after 5000 kilometers from the dealership. The maintenance cost was 7000 rupees which is acceptable for a car of this league.

Ground Clearance

As per the owner, the car hits the ground with multiple passengers and has to be diagonally passed through speed breakers, but the owner mostly drives the car alone, so it is not a major issue.

Owner’s Opinion

The owner has his likes and dislikes about the car. He enjoys the road grip of the Civic and thinks that it is a significant plus point. Then he really likes the exterior and interior looks, which are very aggressive. Moreover, steering is very responsive, and handling is impressive.

According to the owner, the interior’s overall feel is very premium with the low driving position and driver cockpit. However, there are some features like electric seats which the owner misses. Another thing that the owner is disappointed with is the dashboard plastic quality, which according to him, does not feel premium.
