Earlier this month, Kia Pakistan announced a “price lock” offer for its customers. In an announcement, the company stated, “Kia continues strengthening its bond with you. Now avail the price lock till January 31, 2023.” The social media post also claimed to keep the “link stronger than ever.”

Kia Bookings Closed

However, there is a fresh update regarding the bookings of Kia Pakistan. A number of company dealerships have told PakWheels.com that all models’ bookings are closed now. “From noon today, the bookings are closed,” the dealerships informed. Different dealership officials say the current deliverable stock of all cars is finished. “The company is not taking the orders for new productions as yet,” the dealerships stated.

It means the car assembler has stopped the bookings abruptly, although the price lock offer was till January 31, 2023. Furthermore, there is no information when the bookings will be open again, so if you are a Kia customer, you have to sit and wait.

Meanwhile, a Kia Motors Lucky One dealership has told its customers that “due to volatile Forex situation of USD/PKR, we are temporarily suspending bookings of Kia vehicles on immediate basis.” The statement further read that the they are monitoring the situation and booking shall resume once there is more clarity.”

Kia Sales Drop

Earlier, we reported that despite the ready-to-deliver stock, sales of Kia Pakistan dropped by 50% in December 2022. Although the company is not a member of the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), these numbers were reported by market experts.

On the other hand, the company has been displaying two of its CBU units, the Kia Stinger and the Kia Niro EV, at its dealerships across Pakistan. It displayed these cars on the following dates:

January 5 – 9: Kia Motors Macca (Karachi)

January 10 – 13: Kia Motors Clifton (Karachi)

January 14 – 18: Kia Motors Society (Karachi)

January 19 – 23: Kia Motors Lucky One (Karachi)

However, it is pertinent to mention that Kia has no immediate plans to launch these vehicles in Pakistan, as the step was taken to increase footfall in its dealerships.
