Drown Munday & Their Modified Bikes – Review

Today’s feature is unique in that we bring you not one but three highly modified Suzuki GS 150s. Each bike is unique in its way and demands attention. Overall, the bikes carry the café racer classic theme. Let’s approach the bike owners, who call themselves the “Drown Munday,” and inquire about their experience.

Bike 1

The first GS150 is a white-wrapped 2018 non-SE variant. The owner shared that he bought a stock bike and slowly customized it to his liking. Notable modifications include lowered suspension, a lowered speedometer, silicone handles, 100/90 front and 130/70 back tires, a frame cut to adjust the seat, and a custom exhaust. Moreover, the owner has installed an attractive chocolate brown seat to complement the white frame wrap. The engine and brakes are stock and have not been altered.

Currently, the owner uses Suzuki’s engine oil. However, he shifts to Kixx in winter. An issue here is that since the bike is lowered, it may touch the ground on speed breakers. Secondly, initially, backpains arose due to posture; however, the owner has now gotten used to it. The owner purchased the brand-new model for Rs 155,000.

Bike 2

The second bike in line is a red 2021 Suzuki GS150 SE variant. The red color combines with the black seat attractively. This bike cost the owner Rs 215,000. This bike is customized in terms of an aftermarket speedometer, silicone handles, clip-ons, lowered suspension, an SC Project exhaust, and offroad tires. Though the offroad tires look attractive with the overall café racer theme, it presents the owner with some issues. For instance, offroad tires offer reduced road grip, especially in wet conditions.

Bike 3

The third and the last bike is the 2017 Suzuki GS150 SE version. A sky-blue wrap with a black seat makes the bike stand out. Aftermarket changes include an extended frame, lowered suspension, lowered handlebar and speedometer, extended brake rods, an altered exhaust, and offroad tires. Modifications threatened increasing maintenance charges and issues, but the owner claims no such problems arose.
