Today we present an owner’s review of Ducky Bhai’s 2019 Honda Civic 1.8 Oriel. A renowned YouTuber with a cult following amongst youth, Ducky Bhai shares his experience with the Honda Civic in this episode of the owner’s review series. This particular car is a 2019 Honda Civic 1.8 oriel and is the facelifted model with LED headlights and new alloy rims. It comes with a 1.8 liter naturally aspirated engine producing 138hp and 174Nm of torque paired with a CVT transmission.

Purchase Decision

For his first car, the owner considered Civic and Elantra, but he opted for the Civic as the newly launched Elantra was a generation behind the new model, which was launched globally. Moreover, he also preferred Civic’s looks over its competitors. He bought the car for Rs 39.50 lacs from the previous owner.

Modifications

Ducky has modified his car, including red leather seat covers. And he did this because he really liked MG HS’s red interior, interior ambient lighting, and a different front bumper with a black grille to give it a sportier look.

Fuel Average

As per the owner, the” fuel average of the Civic is not so impressive.” The car gives a fuel average of around 10 km/l within the city, and the owner drives it with a heavy foot.

Missing Features

According to the owner, he misses a few things in his Civic, including parking sensors; he installed aftermarket ones but is not satisfied with them. Then he misses ambient lights, which he installed himself. He also finds the infotainment to be a bit dated with poor quality during calls.

Ground Clearance

The Civic has a ground clearance of 171 mm, but it does not hit speed breakers if carefully passed. However, with 4 passengers, it does touch the ground and needs to be maneuvered carefully.

Space and Comfort

Leg space in the Civic is good in the front but can be problematic for rear passengers given the lack of knee room; it also misses out on a flatbed making it very difficult for a 5th passenger. “Overall comfort is good,” according to the owner, and he doesn’t seem to have a problem.
