Electric HR-V Unveiled With 500+ KM Range
Years after the world auto industry embraced electric car technology; Honda is embarked on adding the electric vehicle to its EV lineup. Recently, the company unveiled the e:NP1 electric version of its crossover SUV – dubbed Honda HR-V. Honda flaunted its new electric SUV at the Thailand International Motor Expo.
Here, Honda’s new Empreinte ‘e:N’ is a newly introduced term in the EV market, where “e” highlights electric (electricity) and energy (power) whilst “N” comes with New (the next evolution). Simply put, a fully electric vehicle mated with Honda’s unique features and specifications.
Power
The standard variant of the car is powered with a lithium-ion battery pack laced with a capacity of 53.6 kWh providing a range of up to 420 kilometers, producing 180 horsepower (hp) and 310 Newton-meters (Nm). Whilst, the upper variant of the car is equipped with a 68.8 kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a range of 510 km producing 201 horsepower.

Honda e: NP1 offer many modern features, including:
- Dedicated e:N operating system.
- Honda CONNECT 3.0 intelligent guidance interconnection.
- Honda Sensing 360 advanced driving assistance system.
- 10.25″ LCD instrument screen.
- 15.2″ central control screen.
- Remote-operated doors, windows, and air conditioning control.
- DMC driver status perception system to recognize the driver’s state, actively send safety reminders to drivers, and detect changes in emotions.
Price
Coming to the most important part of the piece – price, the standard variant of the electric SUV comes with a price tag of 175,000 RMB (Rs. 5.5 million), while the top variant with a range of 510 kilometers is priced at RMB 205,000 (Rs. 6.5 million). Compared to the other electric SUVs, the prices of both electric cars make them affordable electric crossovers.
