    This thing sells for around 10,000 USD to 15,000 USD in china. (28 lacs PKR to 42 lacs PKR approx.)

    It is “an effort” by this company, but the pricing leaves much room for improvement. Pakistan’s EV policy (if we can call it that) needs to cut rates further and monitor the local companies for obscene profit margins in order to make these EVs more affordable; That is, IF our dear leaders are serious about their “green initiative” being more than just optics and lip service to collect “chanda” in the name of their “fight against climate change” shtick.

    The small EVs which are more appropriate for the market and MUST come here are:
    1 Wuling Mini
    2 Wuling Air a.k.a MG Comet
    3 Wuling Bingo
    4 BYD Seagull
    5 Baojun Yep (for small EV SUV fun!)

    These EVs are there mainly to perform one critical function; the daily city commute. Majority people do not travel long distances very often. These EVs are there to save on the daily commute fuel costs and (ICE) regular maintenance costs.

    Get the prices right, provided some good, low EV financing options for the people and these, along with EV bikes, will sell very well. Other nations are doing all this. Why not here?

    Very well said by Mr Ali Khan. Still this EV is filling the GAP related to size like Vitz and Swift, if one dont like the size of Alto, WagonR and Cultus. As in the market there are hybrids on the road like Aqua and Note. All of these cars market will be down if price of these kinds of EVs should become competitive.

    @Kashif Ur Rehman

    Totally agreed. 👍

    @Ali Khan
    “Other nations.”
    Pakistan isn’t other nation. Aside from car market size, peoples’ literacy with cars, infrastructure for fueling, its costs, its availability, and most importantly peoples’ buying power matters.
    Also, developing financing policies isn’t just a tall talk.
    Careful consideration, especially regarding recoverability of the loan, is needed as well.

    @Kashif Ur Rahman
    Even globally EV prices haven’t left a significant impact on ICE car prices. So, your claim that cars like Aqua, a richer brand heritage, would lose it to a vehicle from an unknown brand. For your information, even the market for Toyota Corolla Xli and Cultus MKII is strong as compared to flashy box that is called Alsvin. So, your conjecture is baseless and shows lack of knowledge regarding car market.
