Haroon Rafiq’s Mercedes C180 AMG – Owner Review
Today we’re back with the owner’s review of a 2019 Mercedes C180. Haroon Rafiq, the owner, shares his experience of owning this German sedan and briefs us about its specs and features. The w205 C Class debuted in 2014 as the 4th generation, whereas this particular car is the uplifted 2019 model. It comes with a 1.6-liter turbocharged engine producing up to 156 hp and 250 nm of torque which is configured with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Purchase Decision
The owner was driving SUVs and crossovers for a very long time and wanted to experience a sedan. He was out in the market to buy a sedan with good aesthetics and a comfortable drive. He initially tried out an Audi but wasn’t impressed much by its drive; he then made up his mind on a Mercedes.
Now within Mercedes, he wanted to buy the latest model which fell in his budget, which turned out to be this C180 AMG. He bought the car around a price bracket of PKR 17.5 million.
Salient Features
Being the AMG variant, this car gets little extra frills than the standard C. Some of these features include 18-inch AMG alloys, a Burmeister sound system, a fully digital instrument cluster with an upgraded 11-inch infotainment screen, ambient lighting, a panoramic roof, electric seats, paddle shifters, cruise control, and much more.
Fuel Average
These new Mercedes BlueEFICIENCY engines are aimed to be fuel efficient and eco-friendly. As per the owner, the fuel average is exemplary. He gets 14 km/l within the city on normal driving, which is very impressive. This average also depends on the 9-speed automatic transmission, which helps keep the RPMs low.
Maintenance
Maintenance and spare parts are major factors when considering a car, especially when it’s German. As per the owner, he actually did not consider the parts’ cost as he drives with a lot of care and has never experienced the need for it. However, he plans to maintain the car completely from Shahnawaz, even if it is relatively costly.
