Today we present you with the owner’s review of Hassan Butt’s Honda Civic rebirth, eminently known as “Meena.” Hassan is a well-known car enthusiast and YouTuber from Lahore, and in this review, he shares his experience of owning and modifying his car. This particular car is a 2015 Civic oriel which debuted in 2012. It comes with a 1.8-liter R18 engine producing around 141hp and 174 Nm of torque. Let’s learn more about this beautiful Civic and what modifications it underwent to look like this.

Project Initiation

The owner’s father got this car back in 2018 for around 2 million rupees, initially in bone stock condition. A few years later, Hassan decided to modify this car as he enjoyed going to auto shows. With his developing love for cars, he started playing around with the car’s cosmetics, which began with a body kit, alloy rims, etc.

Modifications

“Meena,”; the name given by the owner of this car is far from a stock Civic and is famous for its distinctive look. The car has been upgraded with many modifications, including a “Rosso Corsa” red paint which comes in Ferraris, deep dish 18-inch alloy rims, which are cambered, and the car is dropped through coil overs. Aftermarket LED headlights and tail lights are installed along with a body kit.

The overall stance of this car is very pleasing to the eyes but with the cost of little to no ground clearance. No emphasis is given to performance upgrades by the owner in terms of engine upgrades, nor any significant changes to the interior other than some carbon fiber trims.

Fuel Average

Low fuel consumption is generally a norm with stance cars with large cambered wheels, but surprisingly, this is not the case with this car. As per the owner, this Civic gives around 12 to 13 km/l within the city as the owner drives it with a very light foot. The low stance is a blessing in disguise, as the car must be driven with extreme caution and care.

Drawbacks

Modifying a car like this comes with several drawbacks. These include a lack of ground clearance, so the car’s underbody is regularly scraped on speed breakers and potholes. The cambered wheels also make highway travel a hassle with the fear of a tyre blast, as the owner has had to get several sets of tyres. Comfort is also compromised greatly as coil overs make the car a lot stiffer. The owner stated,” Despite all these impracticalities, the looks of this Civic compensates for all these factors”.

Maintenance

With no engine upgrades, the car’s maintenance is as of a stock Civic. The owner does a regular oil change promptly, and maintenance costs are nominal. According to the owner, oil change and filters cost around 4800 rupees, which is not bad. On the flip side, due to the low stance, underbody shields and bumper spacers wear out, which need to be maintained regularly.
