Bigger Than a Prado or Land Cruiser

Built on GWM’s advanced Guiyuan unibody platform, the Haval H10 comes in both 5-seater and 6-seater configurations. To put its footprint into perspective, it out-measures heavyweights like the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Land Rover Defender.

Under the hood lies GWM’s 2nd-generation Hi4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) powertrain. It combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine with two heavy-duty electric motors mounted on the front and rear axles.

1,400+ km Total Range and Impressive Efficiency

The H10 packs a 42.8 kWh Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery. According to GWM, this gives the SUV an EV-only range of 180 km on pure battery power.

When combining a full tank with a full charge, the total claimed driving range jumps to an astounding 1,404 km. Even when the battery runs out, the 1.5L hybrid setup drops fuel consumption to around 6.6 L/100 km (approx. 15.1 km/L), which is remarkably frugal for a vehicle of this size.

What Does This Mean for the Pakistani Market?

While GWM hasn’t explicitly confirmed a local rollout for the H10, its specs make it a dream candidate for Pakistani car buyers. Sazgar Engineering has already proven that Pakistanis are hungry for high-tech hybrids, with the locally assembled Haval H6 HEV dominating the C-SUV segment.

With local petrol prices remaining volatile, a massive 6-seater SUV that gives 15 km/l+ on a depleted battery, and 180 km of pure EV driving for daily city runs in Lahore or Karachi, solves the biggest pain point of owning a full-sized SUV in Pakistan.

Because the ICE component is a modest 1.5-liter engine, buyers would theoretically avoid the government token taxes and registration penalties usually slapped on 2.8L, 3.0L, or 4.0L petrol cars like the Land Cruiser Prado or Fortuner.

If Sazgar Engineering decides to introduce this 590hp powerhouse to Pakistan, it won’t just challenge the local luxury market; it could redefine what buyers expect from a premium SUV. For now, local enthusiasts can only hope that GWM brings this game-changer to Pakistani roads sooner rather than later.
