Haval has introduced a new front-wheel-drive variant of the H6 PHEV in Pakistan. It sits below the existing AWD trim and offers less power and is a front-wheel drive, but has a slightly better claimed range.
The price has not been announced yet, so its value will depend on how much cheaper it is than the AWD model.
However, we do have the confirmed specs of the new FWD trim. Let’s see how it compares with the currently sold AWD trim:

Power and Drivetrain
The new FWD trim uses a single electric motor to power the front wheels. The AWD version uses two motors and powers all four wheels; Haval calls it Hi4 technology.
As a result, the AWD model produces 360 hp and 760 Nm, compared with 322 hp and 540 Nm in the FWD trim.
The AWD version will offer slightly stronger acceleration and better traction on muddy or slippery roads. Still, 322 hp and an FWD drivetrain are more than enough for regular city and motorway driving.
EV Range
The FWD trim has a very small advantage in claimed range.
It offers 106 km of NEDC electric range and 1,106 km of combined range.
The AWD version offers 100 km of electric range and 1,043 km overall.
That gives the FWD model a 63 km advantage in claimed combined range and a 6 km advantage in the EV-only range.
In everyday driving, however, the difference will be negligible
Which One Makes More Sense?
It is too early to say until Haval announces the price.

Looking at the market competition, the new H6 PHEV FWD competes with the Jaecoo J7 PHEV in terms of powertrain specifications.
Therefore, if the new variant is priced close to the Jaecoo J7 PHEV at around Rs 1.05 crore, it could be a competitive option.
PakWheels also asked Sazgar COO Ali Hameed about the pricing. He said the price has not been finalized yet, but confirmed that pricing will be competitive in the market.
