“Honda CG125 Has Always Been My First Love,” Owner’s Review

And we are back with another bike owner’s review, and today we will review Honda CG 2021, which is one of the most famous bikes in Pakistan. If we talk about its history, the bike was launched in Japan for the first time in 1976, while it came to Pakistan in 1992. Till 2012, the bike came with an OHV engine, and after that, the company installed Euro II technology in its engine and a black-coloured muffler on the silence.

Since then, Atlas Honda has not introduced any major change in the bike except sticker change. Furthermore, the build quality of the bike has also decreased over the years. However, in 2019, the company launched its Special Edition, which has Self Start, Five Gears and Silver Colored side cover.

Price and Purchase Decision: 

The owner bought this bike in January 2021 at Rs139,000, and after registration, it cost him Rs145,000. “I had the other choices like Yamaha YBR and Suzuki GS, but they were available in used condition, and I wanted to buy a new bike,” the owner further shared. He also wanted to buy a Honda bike.

Key Features: 

As per the owner, this bike’s seat height is 726mm, making t very comfortable compared to other bikes. Furthermore, it generates 11hp, making it superior to its competitors. On the left side of its handlebar, you will find switches of horn, side indicators and low/high beam for headlights. Then the bike a Speedometer and RPM meters in the centre which look beautiful at night due to the lights inside it.

Handling and Braking; 

The owner is completely satisfied with its handling and road grip even during the rush on roads. “If you drive it at normal speed like 50-60km/hour, then its brakes work fine, but on high speed, its performance is not satisfactory at all,” the owner said.

Fuel Average: 

The company claimed the average is 40-45 km/litre, but as per the owner, it gives 30-35km/litre mainly due to weather and driving style.

Maintenance Cost: 

The bike’s maintenance is done after every 1000 kilometres, and it costs around Rs1200 per service.

Parts Price and Availability: 

As per the owner, the parts of this bike are readily available at a very reasonable price. “As it is a Honda bike, that is why there is no issue in price or availability of its parts,” he told us.

Is it Value for Money? 

The owner is delighted with his purchase and enjoys riding this bike. “I think it is a total value for money bike, and I don’t have any regret in buying it,” he said.

Resale: 

As Atlas Honda is an old company in Pakistan and this bike has a huge fan following hence, it has an excellent resale value. “I can sell this bike within 3-4 hours,” the owner claimed.

Overall Experience: 

As per the owner, his overall experience has been excellent with this bike as he is satisfied with its handling, performance and power. “It is a family-oriented bike,so, anybody can buy it,” he said.
