Honda Civic RS ⚡ Toyota Grande CVT-i

Honda Civic 2022 has officially entered as a new contender in the sedan segment of Pakistan and keeping our tradition alive, we are comparing the car with its competitors. In this article, we are going to compare Honda Civic RS Turbo with Toyota Altis Grande CVT-i (Black Interior). Both are the top of the line variants of the vehicle.

Dimensions

The Civic is 4687mm Long, 1802mm Wide and 1432mm High, while in comparison Grande is 4620mm Long, 1775mm Wide and 1475mm High. It means, Civic is longer and wider while lower than its competitor. The Ground Clearance in Civic is 150mm against 175mm in Toyota’s sedan, which means Grande has more ground clearance. 

Lastly, both cars are C-Segment sedans.

Engine and Transmission 

RS Turbo comes with 1.5L Turbocharged engine, which generates 176hp and  220Nm of Torque. Meanwhile, Grande has 1.8SFi Naturally Aspirated engine with 138hp and 173Nm Torque. Hence, Honda’s sedan has a clear edge over its competitor in this segment.

Honda has offered CVT transmission in Civic, while Toyota installed 7-Speed Sport CVT transmission.

Exterior

The Civic has LED Headlamps and LED DRLs  while in comparison Corolla has LED Projection headlamps with LED DRLs. The side view mirrors in Civic are Electric, Retractable and Heated, while Corolla has only Electric + Retractable.

The Alloy Wheels in Civic are 17-inch black-colored compared to 16-inch Alloy ones in Corolla Grande.

Interior

The seat material in Civic is Hi-Grade Leather while Grande has Partial Leather on its seats. The Driver and Passenger seats in Civic and Grande are Manual Adjustable. The Steering Wheel in both sedans are Tilt and Telescopic.

The size of Infotainment System in Civic is 9-inch Android with Voice Recognition, while Corolla Grande has 9-inch one.

The Parking Brakes in Civic are Electronic, while they are Level type in its competitor.

AC

Civic offers Dual Zone Climate Control with Rear AC vents, while Corolla Grande comes with Auto Single Zone one without any rear vents.

Safety 

Civic and Corolla come with Dual Airbags. Both sedans have ABS + EBD, Hill Assist Control, Immobilizer, Traction Control and Vehicle Stability Control (VSC). Meanwhile, the additional safety features in Civic include Lane Keep Assist.

The Cruise Control in Civic are Adaptive Control compared to simple one in Grande.

Price

Honda’s top-of-the-line Civic variant comes at Rs. 6,149,000. Top-of-the-line Corolla variant costs Rs. 4,199,000. There’s a price difference of almost 20 lacs.
