Honda HR-V VTi ⚡Chery Tiggo 4 Pro – A Faceoff

Continuing our comparison series, we have Honda HR-V VTi vs. Chery Tiggo 4 Pro. The latter is one of the latest additions in the crossover SUV segment, so here is a detailed comparison of these two vehicles.

Dimensions

The crossover by Honda is 171 inches long, 71 inches wide, and 63 inches wide, and in comparison, Tiggo 4 pro is 170 inches long, 72 inches wide and 66 inches, meaning that VTi is longer and wider while 4 pro has more height.

Engine 

Honda has installed a 1500cc naturally aspirated engine in its crossover SUV with 119hp and 145Nm of torque. Meanwhile, Chery’s vehicle has a 1500cc turbocharged engine, which generates 145hp and 210Nm of torque. So, the latter is more powerful than the former by a clear margin.

The VTi comes with a CVT transmission against a 9-speed CVT in 4 pro, once again giving an edge to the crossover by Chery.

Exterior

Chery is offering electrically adjustable LED headlamps with a follow-me-home feature along with LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Front and rear fog lamps come as standard, while Honda also has LED headlamps, rear lights, DRLs, and fog lamps.

The alloy wheel size in both cars is 17-inch. Furthermore, Honda offers smart keyless entry with a push start button compared to keyless entry and push start in Tiggo 4 pro.

Interior

HR-V VTi has auto climate control compared to dual zone AC in Tiggo 4 pro; however, Honda’s car has rear AC vents as an additional feature. The infotainment touchscreen in VTi is 9-inch with multimedia while 4 pro comes with 10.25 inches central console display. And if we talk about the MID display, Honda’s crossover has 4.2 inches TFT anologue display against 7 inches full LCD screen.

And lastly, Tiggo 4 pro offers a sunroof in its car, which is not installed in VTi.

Safety

The number of airbags in Honda HR-V is 4 compared to only 2 in Tiggo 4 Pro. The other safety features of VTi are Vehicle Stability Control (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA), Hill Descent Control (HDC), and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS). Meanwhile, the safety features in Tiggo 4 Pro are Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Traction Control System (TCS), Hill Assist Control (HAC), and Hill Descent Control (HDC).

Both have Anti-locking Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Parking Brake (EPB), while Tiggo 4 pro has extra features of Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) and rear parking sensors.

Price 

The launch price of the Honda HR-V VTi is Rs. 5,999,000, while the current rate of the Tiggo 4 Pro is Rs. 5,499,000. It means Chery’s crossover is Rs. 550,000.
