How to Apply for Bike Fuel Subsidy in Punjab: Step by Step Process

15,744

The federal government recently launched a fuel subsidy scheme for motorcycle owners.

Registration varies by province, with Punjab, Sindh, and KPK each using different methods. Here’s a simple, step-by-step guide to enroll in this scheme, starting from Punjab.

What is the Bikers’ Fuel Subsidy Scheme?

Under this scheme, the government will give you Rs. 2,000 every month for bike fuel.

In government language, it is called an “Rs. 100 per liter subsidy on 20 liters of fuel.” But simply put, the government is just giving you Rs. 2,000 every month for petrol.

You will receive this balance through a mobile app or SMS. You can then use this balance to get Rs. 2,000 worth of free fuel for your bike every month.

How to Register for the Subsidy in Punjab

If you live in Punjab, you can register for the biker’s fuel subsidy using one of two ways:

  1. By calling the helpline at 100.
  2. By using the app “Maryam ko Batain.”

Please note that this method only works if you live in Punjab and your bike is registered in Punjab.

What are the Conditions to Enroll

Before you apply, make sure you meet all the following requirements:

  • The bike must be registered in your own name.
  • The bike must be registered in Punjab.
  • The bike must be 70 cc (it cannot exceed 70 cc for now).
  • You must be living in the Punjab province.

If even one of these conditions is not met, your application will be rejected.

Approval Process and First-Come, First-Served Rule

Please keep in mind that the Punjab government has begun approving applications from Saturday, April 4th.

This scheme works on a first-come, first-served basis. This means that people who apply early will receive the subsidy first, while others will have to wait their turn.
