Don’t Switch Off the Engine Immediately

Most of us switch off the car immediately if the engine is overheating. Our advice is, DON’T. Just park the car on the side of the road and keep the engine on and let it cool down. Then open the bonnet and make sure that the engine is not that hot; it throws water on you because it will cause serious physical damage.

To check the engine’s temperature, press the hose pipe; if it is cold enough, the pipe will be pressed. And if it is not budging, then it means the pipe has full pressure, and opening the radiator is dangerous.

Use a Towel

Place a towel on the radiator cap to save your body and face from hot water. Then pour water on the towel as it will cool down the radiator and open the lid slowly to release the pressure. Now remove the cap completely and place it on the ground.

Pour Water into Radiator

Carefully pour water into the radiator and keep doing it till it is full. Also, check the reservoir and fill it to the maximum sign. Now put the cap back on and lock it.

We hope that this tip will be helpful for you in tackling the issue of engine overheating. The key is to handle it carefully because carelessness can cause physical injury.
