Hyundai Car Prices Hiked For 2nd Time in a Week

It appears that the new General Sales Tax (G.S.T.) has somehow affected Hyundai Nishat Motor (Private) Limited more than other car companies, as Hyundai car prices have been increased for the second time in a week. The company increased the prices on February 22, 2022, after the government increased G.S.T. from 17% to 18%.

In its notification, the company again blamed 18% G.S.T. (S.R.O. 179(1)2023) and P.K.R. depreciation against USD for the fresh hike. “We are compelled to pass on partial cost pressures to customers for our CKD variants,” the company said.

New prices will be applicable on all new orders for April 2023 deliveries and onwards.
