IMAGES – BYD SEALION 6 Spotted in Pakistan
Earlier this June, we informed you that the world’s top New Energy Vehicle (NEV) manufacturer, BYD, has officially joined the league of players all set to produce EVs in Pakistan. And weeks later, we have another exciting update to share with you.
What could it be? Do you have any idea? A simple No? Well, the update has taken the episode to another level. BYD (HUBCO) has imported test units of SEALION 6, a plug-in hybrid SUV. Since it’s a test unit, the company seems to launch it in the local market if it is found compatible with local terrains.
The update was somewhat surprising to us as anticipations were narrating that BYD (HUBCO) may launch more practical and affordable-to-buy small (hatchback) electric vehicles like Atto 3, Dolphin, Seal, Tang in Pakistan, but the recent update just came with a twist.

Dimension & Variants
Starting with dimensions, the car is 4775mm long, 1890mm wide an 1670mm high, whereas the wheelbase is 2765mm. Two variants are internationally (Australia) available for this car including “dynamic” and “premium”. Here, dynamic is base variant whereas, premium is top one.
Engine & Power
BYD SEALION 6 dynamic comes with 1.5L 4cyl PHEV engine mated with single e-motor (front) carrying the capacity to produce 300Nm torque with maximum power of 160kW.
However, premium variant is powered with 1.5L 4cyl turbo PHEV engine laced with dual e-motor (front and rear). It produces maximum torque of 550Nm whereas the power lies at 238kW. Both variants are equipped with 18.3kWh BYD Blade (LFP) battery.

BYD Sealion 6 dynamics comes with a price tag of $48,990 (Rs. 13,620,905) however, the top variant SEALION 6 Premium AWD is priced at $52,990 (Rs. 14,733,042).
