Islamabad police intensified a major enforcement operation in the first half of January 2026, moving 25 vehicles and more than 30,000 motorcycles to police stations for verification and investigation, Daily Jang reported.
The Dolphin Force and other units inspected over 46,000 vehicles and 39,000 motorcycles, detaining 339 suspicious individuals for further investigation.
Officials said the crackdown is part of an ongoing effort to combat criminal elements and street crime across the federal capital, where vehicle‑related offences and law violations have been a persistent concern.
Moreover, police are under strict orders to step up enforcement of traffic rules, vehicle documentation, and crime prevention after repeated thefts, reckless driving, and public safety complaints in 2025.
Public Impact
Authorities urge citizens to ensure their vehicles are properly registered and to report any suspicious activity.
With over 30,000 motorcycles temporarily moved for verification, residents can expect heightened traffic checks across major city routes.
