Jaecoo J5 Price Revealed: Hybrid SUV, Price of a Toyota Corolla Altis

29,590

It’s 5 PM, and as per our earlier statement, here’s the price of the locally assembled Jaecoo J5 HEV. As hinted before, the pricing strategy is aggressive, positioning the J5 significantly below many of its hybrid competitors and even below non-hybrid sub-compact SUVs.

Here are the official ex-factory prices for the two available variants:

Jaecoo J5 Comfort: Rs. 6,699,000 (for context, this is exactly the price of a Toyota Corolla Altis 1.6 CVT)
Jaecoo J5 Premium: Rs. 7,699,000

The company has confirmed that these ex-factory prices are fully inclusive of all taxes, including the NEV levy.

Powertrain & Specs

Under the hood, both the Comfort and Premium variants are identical. They share the exact same hybrid powertrain and engine specifications, delivering the same power output and a claimed fuel economy of 18.8 km/l.

The price difference between the two is driven primarily by equipment levels. The Premium trim includes additional safety features, more airbags, and various cosmetic upgrades. We will be sharing a detailed feature-by-feature comparison of both trims very soon. However, if you want to know the specs and features of the Premium trim, we covered them in our previous blog.

Booking & Delivery Details

Bookings for the J5 are now open with a partial payment of Rs. 1,500,000.

According to the official schedule, deliveries for the first batch of units will begin next month, in February 2026.

Price Validity

It is worth noting that these are introductory prices. The company has stated this pricing structure is valid until March 10, 2026.
