Karachi Ke Tarzan Feat. Danish Tafo – Toyota MR-S Owner Review

Tarzan is the right word to define today’s review car, the Toyota MR-S. This supercar is 20 years old by model but maintained better than the new models.

Moreover, its raise and exhaust sound will entice you to crave more and more speed. So, without further ado, let’s find out from its owner, Danish, how he has maintained this classic.

Purchase Decision

Previously, Danish had a Toyota Supra that he decided to sell, after which he got his hands on this vintage model of Toyota MR-S of 2003.

Overall, it was a maintained car with every feature in good condition. However, Danish shared that it is a completely different class than Supra, with better road performance.

Modifications

Danish had an eye for modification. For this, he imported an original carbon fiber dashboard with a speedometer, steering, and 2 Airbags. Besides, he furnished the pillars, added new DRLs, headlamps, side markers, rims, and changed tires. Moreover, he changed the infotainment system for better interaction, whereas the seats are original.

Also, he tweaked the suspension with brand-new OEM shocks, rotors, bushing kits, and brakes.

Engine Modification

The Toyota MR-S came with an 1800CC, 1 series engine with a 135/140 HP. Danish swapped it with a series 2 engine of 210 HP, as recommended by the Toyota brand.

Although the mid-size feature engine contributes to improving the overall road performance.

Irresistible Exhaust Sound

What we found the best about the Toyota MR-S was its exhaust. Danish has upgraded it with a carbon fiber dual exhaust system that has modernized its aesthetics.

Price Tag

Danish bought this classic for 4,800,000 and has invested around 1,500,000 on its modification. He shared that the Toyota MR-S has been pricier in comparison with the Toyota Supra parts. The dashboard for Supra cost him around 300,000, which was 450,000 for MR-S.

Missing feature

Being an old model, it lacks traction control, an electronic convertible roof, and a slightly lowered sitting position. PakWheels simply appreciate people who care for vintage vehicles and keep them new and maintained forever.
