KIA Car Prices: Jan 2022 vs. Dec 2022
If you’re a car buyer in Pakistan, you may have noticed that prices have been on the rise lately. This isn’t surprising, as inflation and the Pakistani rupee’s weaker value against the US dollar have prompted automakers to increase their prices this year. In fact, reports show that car prices have seen a significant 47% hike since the beginning of the year.
According to the Engineering Development Board (EDB), the main culprit behind these price increases is the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee by 31%, coupled with the government’s decision to raise duties and taxes on the automobile sector. As a result, car prices in Pakistan have reached new heights.
Even Lucky Motors Corporation, one of the country’s leading automakers, has followed suit and increased the prices of its vehicles. This puts them among the most expensive cars in the country. If you’re in the market for a new car, it’s important to keep these price hikes in mind and do your research before making a purchase.

As Lucky Motors is not a part of the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), the number of sales it made has not been disclosed yet. The numbers show that the Kia car prices have gone up to Rs. 1 million in just one year, which is quite shocking. The year 2022 was a hard year for the auto industry and the multiple issues especially the devaluation of Pakistani rupee against the US dollar have resulted in record-high prices of the car.
Hopefully, the 2023 would be a bit different and more stable for the auto industry.
