Lahore Traffic Police to Suspend License After Accident
The Lahore Traffic Police has suspended the driving licenses of 68 motorists involved in road accidents, as per the orders of the Chief Traffic Officer, Lahore.
Immediate Suspension After Accidents
According to a traffic police social media post, the driving license of any motorist involved in a fatal or non-fatal traffic accident will now be suspended immediately.
Officials said anyone found driving with a suspended license will face legal action.
One-Year Suspension for Irresponsible Driving
Traffic Police Lahore also said motorists found guilty of irresponsible driving will have their licenses suspended for at least one year.
Drivers involved in fatal accidents will also face legal proceedings in addition to license suspension.
Crackdown on Unlicensed Drivers
In a separate post, traffic police stated that the department has also intensified its crackdown on unlicensed drivers and motorcyclists carrying three passengers.
Officials said unlicensed drivers will face a Rs 5,000 challan, while their vehicles may also be impounded.
