Lamborghini Hints at More Off-Road ‘Sterrato’ Models: A Supercar For Pakistani Roads?

When Lamborghini launched the Huracán Sterrato, it seemed like a wild, one-off experiment. But a lifted V10 supercar with all-terrain tires and rally-inspired hardware turned out to be a massive hit. Now, Lamborghini has hinted that the rugged ‘Sterrato’ treatment is here to stay.

‘Unexpected’: The Keyword For Lamborghini 

Speaking to Motor1 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Lamborghini’s Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Federico Foschini, confirmed the brand is keeping the Sterrato concept alive.

“One of our brand values is unexpected… and the Huracán Sterrato was really unexpected as a concept,” Foschini said.

While he didn’t confirm a direct successor, he highlighted the versatility of Lamborghini’s current platforms. With the new hybrid Temerario entering the lineup and the Urus SUV continuing to dominate sales, the possibilities are open.

Is A Rugged Lamborghini Urus Next?

A Sterrato version of the Urus SUV is highly likely. The newly debuted Urus SE hybrid already features a dedicated ‘Rally’ mode because, according to Foschini, owners actually use these SUVs off-road.

Foschini pointed out that building an off-road-focused Urus wouldn’t require a massive engineering leap:

“The distance between the Huracán and the Huracán Sterrato, and the Urus and a possible Sterrato version is not huge… You can also have more emphasis on the off-road aspect, maybe a different kind of tire, a different setup. So, you can do it.”

The Pakistani Perspective: Potholes and PKR

While global enthusiasts debate the purity of an off-road supercar, the concept makes perfect sense for Pakistan’s elite buyers.

• Practical Ground Clearance

Driving a standard low-slung supercar in Clifton, DHA, or Gulberg is a constant battle against unannounced speed breakers, potholes, and broken tarmac. A factory-lifted Lamborghini with a reinforced underbody is practically built for Pakistani road conditions.

• How Much Will It Cost To Import?

Globally, the Huracán Sterrato launched with a price tag of around $270,000. If you wanted to import one today, after paying our high customs duties, sales tax, and regulatory duties, it is difficult to imagine how high the price would be. But honestly? If you have that kind of money, a Sterrato might be the most practical supercar import for Pakistan.

While we won’t see a new Sterrato model hit the global market tomorrow, as Lamborghini is busy fulfilling backlogs for the Revuelto and the new Urus SE, the company’s commitment to off-road performance means the rugged supercar trend is here to stay.

Whether we see a lifted Temerario or a hardcore off-road Urus next, Lamborghini has proven that supercar performance doesn’t have to stop where the pavement ends. 

For Pakistani fans, a future Sterrato model might just be the most practical way to enjoy Italian horsepower on local roads. Until then, we’ll have to wait and see which rugged bull makes it to our shores first through private imports.
