Locally Assembled MG HS Completes Testing From Karachi to Khunjerab Pass
MG Motors has been hyping the launch of locally assembled MG HS for months. We have seen clips of the car’s assembly process on the social media accounts of MG’s representative Javed Afridi. The man has brought us the latest update on the upcoming car, and that is the locally assembled MG HS has completed the all-terrain testing.
In all-terrain testing, the car is driven under all types of ground conditions to see if its response on the rough and tough roads. Locally assembled MG HS has been tested from Karachi all the way up to Khunjerab Pass. (Pretty impressive, huh?)

Launch of Locally Assembled MG HS
Last week, Javed Afridi shared the big news that the CKD MG HS will be on the roads next month during a Q&A session with his Facebook followers. The successful all-terrain testing news is a confirmation of Afridi’s statement.
It’s been a long time since MG Motors promised us the locally assembled MG HS Essence (that’s what they are calling it). The company told its customers they would get priority once the bookings for HS Essence were open.
We don’t know much about the upcoming locally assembled edition of the HS, except that the CKD unit will come with a 2.0L turbo powertrain. MG has assured us there will be no difference between the imported CBU and locally assembled CKD units of the car. The company won’t strip down any features in the locally assembled model.
Same features mean we only have to be worried about the build quality and price of the locally assembled HS. The current price of the CBU MG HS Exclusive is Rs. 89 lacs. Let’s see what happens with the price of the CKD MG HS Essence.
MG customers have waited so long for this. Finally, MG Motors is working on the local assembly of its cars. Let’s see if it was worth the wait.
