Locally Assembled MG3 ,MG5 & MG Gloster Soon: Javed Afridi

MG Pakistan’s representative Javed Afridi is back, after a while we must say, with a latest and rather exciting update on MG cars. As per his latest tweet, locally assembled MG cars including MG3, MG5 and MG Gloster will soon arrive in Pakistan. Afridi wrote this while retweeting a status by TV host, Fakhar-e-Alam.

Alam shared a video from MG plant in Pakistan showing the assembly lines and wrote: “It makes me super happy to see progress in Pakistan. Good businesses create jobs, opportunities & generate wealth.” He further said that the plant will produce 100 cars per day. “There were some delays but now the production is underway,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention that MG has only sold imported CBU units so far. As per the company, it has sold 10,000 units of MG HS so far in Pakistan. However, after the increase of Regulatory Duty (RD) and Federal Excise Duty (FED) on CBU units, the price of HS has reached Rs. 8.9 million.

Hence, the only way to survive is locally assembled units. So, it is a good news for MG lovers that the company is planning to launch the made in Pakistan cars soon. It will not only increase the trust of the customers on the company but will also improve the aftersales service and availability of spare parts.
