Locally Assembled Tank 500 PHEV & Canon Alpha PHEV Coming Soon
Back in April, we shared that Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SAZEW) was gearing up to launch Tank 500 PHEV and and a similar plug-in hybrid variant of Canon Alpha. Now, the company has provided a final update, confirming the launch date for these two vehicles: an SUV and a pickup truck.
In an official announcement, SAZEW stated, “We have decided to introduce the Tank 500 Hi4-T 4×4 2.0L Turbo AT PHEV and the pickup truck Cannon Alpha Hi4-T 4×4 2.0L Turbo AT PHEV. The first rollouts of the CKD models for these vehicles are expected to occur before the end of March 31, 2026.”
While the company has yet to disclose the exact features and specifications of the Tank 500 SUV, we can look at its international specs to get an idea of what the locally assembled variants might offer in terms of style, design, comfort, and performance.
