Several major motorway sections have reopened to traffic after the dense fog and smog cleared, greatly improving visibility.

  • M-4 Motorway: Gojra to Abdul Hakim

  • M-3 Motorway: Jaranwala to Dera Khana

  • M-5 Motorway: Rahim Yar Khan to Rohri

  • M-2 Motorway: Open following fog clearance

  • Lahore-Sialkot Motorway: Reopened after significant visibility improvements

Traffic Advisory for Commuters

Though the motorways are now open, drivers are urged to exercise caution while traveling:

  1. Slow Down: Reduce speed, especially in areas where fog or smog may still linger.

  2. Use Fog Lights: In low-visibility areas, fog lights should be used to enhance safety.

  3. Stay Informed: Keep up to date with weather conditions and check for any further advisories from motorway police.

  4. Maintain a Safe Distance: Always leave extra space between vehicles, especially in poor visibility conditions.

  5. Avoid Overtaking: Don’t overtake in areas with reduced visibility to keep everyone safe on the road.

These measures are being implemented to improve travel safety and ensure smooth traffic flow on these key routes.
