Motorway Police Launch Action Against Cash Drop Fraud in Service Areas
According to spokesperson Syed Imran Ahmed, the Motorway Police has taken effective action against cash drop fraud schemes in motorway service areas. Reports indicated that some shopkeepers were deceiving travelers by either returning less money during transactions or engaging in other dishonest practices.
Special Campaign
A special campaign has been in Sector M-2 South. The initiative aims to eliminate fraudulent activities and protect road users from financial exploitation.
Public Awareness Efforts
As part of the campaign:
- Panaflex banners have been installed in service areas to warn travelers.
- Educational units are conducting awareness sessions in service area mosques.
- At movie points, passengers are also being briefed about the risks of cash drop fraud.
