Motorway Police Let Overspeeding Singer Go in Exchange of a Song

And we have a very interesting story for you, which involves motorway police, a singer, overspeeding and challan. So, what happened was that a Saraiki singer, Siraj Bhutta, was driving his car on Multan-Lahore motorway, when he was stopped by the police for overspeeding. Meanwhile, some reports suggested that he was stopped due to absence of driving license.

Now, in normal circumstances, the police handover a speeding ticket to the car owner and then let go, But that didn’t happen in this case. When on-duty police officer got to know that Bhutta was a singer, he gave the singer an offer, which he couldn’t refuse.

The officer asked him to just sing a song and avoid challan and that is what Bhutta did. He took out his harmonium from the car, placed it on a road barrier and started singing. As per media reports, he sang a song and then police officer let him go. You can watch the video of this whole incident.

After the video went viral on social media, motorway police have also issues a statement. The police said that it will investigate the incident. “If on-duty officer found guilty, the institute will launch a probe against him,” the statement read.

We do hope that the police officer wouldn’t face much harsh consequences because he was trying to enjoy a music. But on the other hand, it is matter of law and regulations. Let us see, what happen.
