‘New’ Honda CD 70 Dream 2025 – A Review
The Honda CD70 Dream is the modern version of the classic CD70, a model that has been a staple on Pakistan’s roads for decades. Introduced in 1976 as an upgraded and slightly more stylish alternative, the Dream edition adds a dash of flair to the classic design while retaining the features that made the original so famous.
Honda CD70 Dream 2025 – Performance
The Honda CD70 Dream is powered by the same reliable 72cc, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that has powered the CD70 for years. It produces modest power, around 6.4 horsepower. One of the standout features of the CD70 Dream is its exceptional fuel efficiency. Riders often report achieving over 60 km/l, making it one of the most economical motorcycles on the market. This makes it an attractive option for students, professionals, and anyone looking to save on fuel costs without compromising on performance. With a top speed of around 80 km/h, the CD70 Dream is not built for racing, but it provides enough power to keep up with city traffic.
Difference Between Honda CD70 and CD70 Dream
Considering the design, the classic CD70 has a simple and traditional design that hasn’t changed much over the years, while the Dream variant, on the other hand, has sportier and modern aesthetics. It features a sleeker body with sharper lines, a slightly larger seat, and bold graphics. The Dream also has a more streamlined headlight and a stylish rear fender.
In the sense of comfort, the seat on the regular CD70 is narrower, and the overall layout of the bike is basic, providing comfort but with a focus on simplicity. The instrumentation is also very minimal, featuring a simple analog speedometer, while the Dream version offers a slightly wider seat. It also has a sportier handlebar positioning and some minor improvements in ergonomics to enhance the riding experience.
2025 CD70 Dream Improvements
The new Dream model comes with a modded cowl; front painted metal bumper, black shocks, and chrome lining. Two meters have been introduced, one for speed and the other for light and different configurations. The tank is red, and the seat is elongated to provide more comfort on longer rides. Fairing on seat sides and taillights has also been improved.
Price
Due to the cosmetic improvements and slightly better ergonomics, the Dream is usually priced a little higher than the classic CD70. For now, the price difference is Rs. 10,000.
