The National Highway Authority has revised toll rates across several national highways, motorways and expressways, with the new charges taking effect from July 10, 2026.
According to the notification, tolls have been updated for vehicles ranging from cars and wagons to buses and articulated trucks. The revised structure covers national highways, the Kohat Tunnel, the Islamabad–Murree Dual Carriageway and six major motorway and expressway routes.

What Motorists Will Now Pay?
Under the revised rates, a car traveling the full Islamabad–Peshawar M-1 route will pay Rs. 700, while the toll for the Lahore–Abdul Hakeem M-3 has been set at Rs. 1,000.
Car users traveling on the Pindi Bhattian–Faisalabad–Multan M-4 will pay Rs. 1,350, while the full Multan–Sukkur M-5 journey will cost Rs. 1,500.
The revised rates will also raise operating costs for buses and commercial freight vehicles. These additional expenses may eventually be reflected in passenger fares and goods-transport charges, particularly on longer motorway routes.
The notification does not list the Lahore–Islamabad M-2, which is covered by a separate toll rate structure. Motorists are advised to check their M-Tag balance before traveling to avoid delays at toll plazas.
