Nishat Group Marks Milestone with First Rollout of the Locally Assembled Jaecoo J7 PHEV
On 2nd December 2025, Nishat Group completed the first rollout of the Jaecoo J7 SHS at its CKD plant in Faisalabad, marking an essential step in the company’s automotive operations. This achievement came just four months after the vehicle’s official launch in August 2025. The collaboration between Nishat Group and Chery International, the largest car exporter outside China, has played a significant role in this development.
The partnership, which focuses on Chery’s premium brands Omoda and Jaecoo, underscores the ongoing Pak-China collaboration in the automotive sector. The Jaecoo J7 SHS, which has attracted considerable consumer interest, is known for its impressive 1200+ km range thanks to a 60-liter fuel tank and plug-in hybrid platform.
According to the latest reports, Nishat Group has received over 3,000 orders for the Jaecoo J7 SHS, making it the leading market for Omoda & Jaecoo in terms of orders placed in the first month of release. This milestone is a notable achievement for Nishat Group in Pakistan’s automotive sector.
The company’s efforts are also contributing to job creation, with around 3,000 jobs created directly, along with additional employment opportunities in related sectors.
This development further reflects Nishat Group’s role in expanding its presence in the automotive market, contributing to the economy, and meeting consumer demand for new vehicles.
