Nissan Kicks becomes official car of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019
The new compact SUV from Nissan, Kicks, has become the official car of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. This compact SUV will carry the World Cup trophy across eight major cities in neighboring India. These include Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Banglore, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad. Nissan Kicks will be showcased in shopping malls in these cities. Nissan has gone to great lengths to market its new compact SUV to the world. This is primarily due to the changing trend observed by automotive companies in favour of compact SUVs. Compact SUVs are more spacious, practical and provide a lofty ride compared to hatchbacks and sedans in a similar price bracket.
The trophy and Nissan Kicks will be accompanied by cricket stars like Gautam Gambhir. Nissan currently holds an eight-year partnership with the ICC. Nissan also has partnerships with City Football Group and UEFA Champions League.
Marketing the new SUV with the help of cricket in India is the best move Nissan could have opted for as cricket in South Asia is loaded with enthusiasm and a huge following. Kicks will not only be showcased in India but also across the globe where Nissan and cricket have a major presence.
The new Nissan Kicks will be made available from early next year. The design language of Kicks is modern and catered towards appealing the young generation living in urban areas. The SUV will also come packed with new and modern technological features.
Nissan Kicks will have a seating capacity of 5 people. As standard, Kicks will come with a 4-cylinder 1.6L engine that will generate 122 horsepower at 6300 rpm. The vehicle will also be equipped with blind spot warning, automatic emergency braking, and rear cross traffic alert. Customers will also be able to fit the Bose Personal Plus Audio System in the car.
