Petrol price to remain unchanged for February 2020

Update:

The Government of Pakistan has decided not to change the prices of petroleum products for February 2020.

Previous:

Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended the Petroleum Division to reduce the price of petrol by PKR 6 paisas; yes, you read right… 6 Paisas. It’s nothing but a joke to the people who are already suffering immense economic pressure.

Aside from petrol, the authority has urged the division to increase the rate of High-Speed Diesel Oil and Light-Speed Diesel by PKR 2.47 per liter and PKR 1.10 per liter, respectively. Moreover, it is also recommended that the price of the kerosene oil should be slashed by PKR 66 paisa per liter.

The current price of petroleum products are as follow:

Petrol: PKR 116.60

High-speed diesel: PKR 127.26

Light-speed diesel: PKR 84.51

Kerosene oil: PKR 99.45

Note here that after the approval, the new prices will come into effect from 1 February 2020.

Let’s see whether the government approves the recommendations of OGRA related to petroleum prices or not. Stay connected with PakWheels for any update on this story. Drop your valuable thoughts in the feedback section.
