Omoda & Jaecoo Pakistan Tease Likely Omoda 7 PHEV Launch

1,200

OMODA and Jaecoo Pakistan have shared a new teaser hinting at the arrival of another electrified SUV, which appears to be the OMODA 7 PHEV, also known in some markets as the OMODA 7 SHS-P.

The company has not officially named the vehicle in the teaser, but the caption mentions PHEV, while the visible front light signature and design cues strongly point toward the OMODA 7. The teaser also suggests that the model may be moving closer to its launch in Pakistan.

Earlier Shown at Beijing Auto Show

PakWheels earlier reported that the OMODA 7 appeared at the Beijing Auto Show 2026, where it was showcased as part of Chery Group’s expanding electrified SUV lineup. At the time, the model was expected to reach Pakistan during 2026, and the latest teaser now suggests that the local rollout may be approaching.

The OMODA 7 sits above the OMODA E5 in size and positioning, giving OMODA and Jaecoo Pakistan a potential mid-size SUV contender in a segment where hybrids and plug-in hybrids are increasingly relevant.

Quick Overview

Internationally, the Omoda 7 PHEV is offered with a plug-in hybrid setup combining a petrol engine with electric assistance. The SUV is designed to deliver electric-only driving of up to 100 km for short urban trips while retaining a petrol engine for longer routes.

Depending on the market, the OMODA 7 offers a large infotainment screen, a digital instrument cluster, advanced driver-assistance features, a panoramic camera, and multiple drive modes. Final Pakistan-spec features, battery details, range, warranty, and pricing are still unconfirmed.

Expected Competition in Pakistan

If launched locally, the OMODA 7 PHEV will likely compete with the Jaecoo J7 SHS, Haval H6 PHEV, and other premium hybrid or electrified SUVs. The Jaecoo J7 is already listed in Pakistan at Rs. 10,499,000, while the Haval H6 PHEV is priced at Rs. 12,895,000.

Its success will depend heavily on pricing. Pakistani buyers in this segment do not only compare features. They also look at resale value, dealership support, parts availability, warranty terms, and long-term ownership costs.

More Details Expected Soon

For now, the teaser confirms that OMODA and Jaecoo Pakistan are preparing their next major electrified SUV update. The model has not been officially named, but all signs point toward the OMODA 7 PHEV.

The company is expected to reveal local specifications, booking details, pricing, and delivery timelines closer to the formal launch.
