The Pakistani automotive industry has closed the fiscal year 2025-26 on a resounding high note, recording a massive 28.9% month-on-month (MoM) increase in sales for June 2026.
According to the latest data released by the Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA), cumulative sales from major passenger car and light commercial vehicle assemblers jumped to 21,955 units in June, up from 17,033 units in May 2026.
This MoM performance marks a robust recovery trajectory for the local auto sector, driven by stabilizing economic indicators, moderate inflation levels, and an improved supply chain for both locally assembled regional favorites and newer crossover variants.
Pak Suzuki: Alto Remains on Top as Fronx Explodes
Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) continued its absolute dominance in the high-volume segment. The evergreen Suzuki Alto led the market charge with 7,239 units sold in June, registering a solid 21% increase over May’s 5,964 units.
The real showstopper, however, was the newly introduced Suzuki Fronx, which saw an astronomical 211% surge, rising from 552 units in May to 1,717 in June. Other stablemates followed a positive trajectory:
- Suzuki Cultus
Rebounded by 72% to reach 439 units.
- Suzuki Every
Climbed 12% to sell 480 units.
- Suzuki Swift
Held perfectly steady with 1,668 units (+1%).
Toyota Indus: Steady Volume Preservation
Indus Motor Company (IMC) maintained stable market volumes, though its core sedan segment experienced slight consolidation.
- Corolla, Yaris, and Corolla Cross
Combined sales recorded a marginal 1% dip, closing at 2,650 units, down from 2,685 in May.
- Fortuner and Hilux
The premium utility and IMV platforms saw healthy traction, advancing 6% to hit 857 units.
Honda Atlas: Strong Double-Digit Comeback
Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited enjoyed a highly lucrative June, posting strong recoveries across multiple segments.
- City and Civic
The brand’s flagship sedans saw a major 33% surge, with sales totaling 2,594 units, signaling renewed consumer appetite for mid- to high-tier passenger sedans.
- BR-V and HR-V
On the urban SUV front, Honda’s crossover lineup posted a matching 36% bump, climbing to 378 units.
Hyundai Nishat and Sazgar Haval: The New Powerhouses
Sazgar Engineering’s aggressive push into the premium SUV segment continues to bear fruit. The Haval/Tank lineup recorded spectacular 70% growth, moving 2,720 units in June compared to 1,604 in May, challenging legacy giants for volume supremacy.
Concurrently, Hyundai Nishat experienced stellar cross-segment gains:

Jumped 91% to 548 units.
- Hyundai Santa Fe
Surged 133% to 84 units.
- Hyundai Sonata
Grew 65% to 51 units.
Commercial, EV, and New Entrants
In the utility and commercial segments, the ISUZU D-MAX logged a notable 87% gain, reaching 101 units. Meanwhile, the micro-EV segment faced a temporary bottleneck, with the budget-friendly Honri-Ve (EV) slipping 33% down to 20 units. JETOUR maintained healthy and consistent deliveries, clocking in perfectly flat at 200 units (0%).
