Pakistan Post has reduced the monthly fuel allowance for postmen and delivery agents nationwide, introducing a uniform ceiling of 30 liters per employee.
The revised policy replaces the previous category-based system, under which fuel allocations varied according to the employee’s role and posting location. The reduction can reach up to 50 percent for delivery staff working in major cities.
New Uniform Fuel Limit
Under the earlier arrangement, postmen were entitled to 35 liters of fuel per month. Delivery agents working in major cities received 60 liters, while those posted in smaller cities were allocated 50 liters.
All mail delivery personnel will now receive a maximum of 30 liters per month, regardless of their designation or city.

The previous fuel limits had remained in place since November 17, 2023.

Pending Reimbursements to Be Cleared
Alongside the reduction, the director general of Pakistan Post has directed all postmasters general to clear outstanding fuel reimbursement claims on a priority basis once funds for the 2026-27 fiscal year become available.
The new fuel ceiling will apply across all Pakistan Post circles, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Multan, Hyderabad, Quetta and Muzaffarabad.
The reduced allowance could place additional pressure on delivery employees, particularly those covering larger routes in major cities, where the previous monthly allocation has effectively been cut in half.
