The Government of Pakistan has announced another increase in petroleum prices, pushing both petrol and diesel beyond Rs. 414 per litre. The new prices were announced on Friday and will apply from the latest pricing cycle.

As per the latest update, the price of Motor Spirit (MS), commonly known as petrol, has been increased by Rs. 14.92 per litre, taking it from Rs. 399.86 to Rs. 414.78 per litre.

Meanwhile, high-speed diesel has seen an increase of Rs. 15 per litre, rising from Rs. 399.58 to Rs. 414.58 per litre.

New Petrol and Diesel Prices in Pakistan

Product Old Price Increase New Price
Petrol / Motor Spirit Rs. 399.86 Rs. 14.92 Rs. 414.78
High-Speed Diesel Rs. 399.58 Rs. 15.00 Rs. 414.58

This latest hike will directly affect car owners, bike riders, transporters, and commercial vehicle operators. The rising cost of diesel is especially important because it affects the costs of goods transport, agriculture, and public transport. That means the effect may not remain limited to fuel pumps.

For daily commuters, the message is simple: fuel budgets are going up again. With petrol now above Rs. 414 per liter, even routine office runs, school pickups, and weekend drives will feel heavier on the pocket.

There is no soft landing here. Fuel is expensive, and it just got more expensive.
