Peugeot e-2008 Electric Car is Coming Next
Pakistan’s first European car, Peugeot 2008, made its debut on the 28th of January. And the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 were under trials and testing. But the company has revealed a change of plans to launch the electric variant of Peugeot 2008 before anything else.
Last week, Peugeot’s local partner Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) held an inaugural ceremony to celebrate the local assembly of the first European car in Pakistan and reveal the next model in line.

At the inaugural event, LMC showcased multiple display units of the Peugeot 2008 and even offered test drive of the newly launched car. Launched in two variants, Peugeot 2008 Active and Peugeot 2008 Allure, with 5 million+ price tags, the B-segment crossover is here for the premium crossover buyers.

After the successful launch of the Peugeot 2008, the company is now planning to enter the electric vehicle segment. About that, CEO LMC, Asif Rizvi, said, “Peugeot e-2008 will be the next model launched, giving customers the freedom to choose between a 100% electric and a thermic version.”
After bringing Kia back to the local market, LMC has now introduced the first French car brand in Pakistan. Peugeot has eight 3S Peugeot dealerships in six different cities. Peugeot cars are currently being assembled at the same factory. As more models join the Peugeot car line-up in the future, LMC will develop a dedicated assembly plant for Peugeot cars.
Peugeot 2008 is here to battle it out with KIA Stonic and MG ZS and sway the mini-crossover buyers with its premium looks and features. The upcoming Peugeot e-2008 will be a great addition to the segment where there’s only MG ZS EV.
